This is one of those days where it's really hard to pick a single song to be the titular “Track of the Day”. Every single track on Terminal Spirit Disease is just that good. Even the live performances are never getting skipped by me.

The Messiah

I'M DOING IT. I'M FINALLY TALKING ABOUT MESSIAH MARCOLIN AGAIN.
Everything Messiah Marcolin touches turns into gold, I am 100% sure of that.

Here we have a guy who legally changed his first name to Messiah (I could not find a credible source when trying to confirm that just now. I don't care if it's really true or not though, as I wholeheartedly accept it as truth).
Every single song on Nightfall is good. There are no bad Nightfall songs. This album is near perfect. I've been wanting to get a tattoo of the cover (boat, guy and angel) for so long now and as soon as I can I will get it.

Lily Chou-Chou – グライド (Glide)

I still haven't watched All About Lily Chou-Chou, the 2001 film that this album was produced for. This song would be a much better for Track of the Day for the day that I finally watch it. Why did I pick it today, then?
Because I finished reading volume 4 of Girl's Last Tour today.

At the Gates – Raped by the Light of Christ
Album: With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness

At the Gates re-recorded this song in 2018, 25 years after the original song came out. I prefer the original, though. The guitar tone combined with the vocals just hits right for me. But maybe check out the re-recording as well.

Architects – Alpha Omega

Architects used to be my favourite band for a long time, with the peak being around 2021 for me.
Sadly, they've heavily changed their sound starting with their 2021 album ‘For Those That Wish To Exist’. It breaks my heart but they sound very ““commercialized”” and just plain boring and bad to me now.
But oh well, at least they gave us eight banger albums before that point. I guess I can't be mad.

01.02.2026 – Between The Buried And Me

Between The Buried And Me – Selkies: The Endless Obsession
Honorable mention: The whole of BTBAM's ‘Alaska’ album

Today I learned that Selkies are mythological seals that can assume human forms! This song came to my mind immediately.
Between The Buried And Me is one of these bands that I have listened to for a long time, yet I never took the time to really dig into their whole discography.

AJJ – Candle in the Wind

I've been trying to learn guitar with this song the last couple of days. And I've made the most progress ever since I started learning. I think in like a week or two, I could definitely see myself playing the whole song in one go. It's easier to get yourself to practice when you don't have to plug your guitar in for the notes to sound good. Also, I think learning the song via the chords instead of tabs has helped my understanding of the instrument over all.
