Me and a few friends of mine were talking about Radiohead today.

Well, this was unexpected (for me).
At the Gates came out with a new single two days ago. They're releasing another album using vocals that Tompa, R.I.P., finished recording before his death. The song sounds great, I love it.

Reading Lindberg's wikipedia article, it turns out he was just all around a good dude. He created Darkthrone's logo and was also in a band called The Great Deceiver, which is described as a mixture of hardcore punk and melodeath, with influences by The Cure and Joy Division. He was actually part of a lot of bands. People said about him that he was a unifying presence in the 1980/1990s Gothenburg metal scene and helped foster a tightly connected community as well as being a mentor. Oh, and he taught social studies in secondary school.

I'm writing this at 05:50 in the morning. I haven't slept yet. I finished the last volume of Girl's Last Tour and I'm kinda torn up right now.

But before all that (I would put „oh backe“ here in parentheses but I don't know of any fitting way to convey that in english), I found out about Worm in the comment section of a review of Converge's new album. (gotta listen to that soon, but today is Worm day)

I found a CD of ~~Carnival of Justice~~ Catalogue of Carnage* one day while shopping in a second-hand music store. I never heard of them before, but looking at the cover I felt I would like it. It was cheap and, wondering if it would actually sound good, I couldn't wait to listen to it at home.

The Black Dahlia Murder – Nightbringers

I'm way more familiar with Black Dahlia Murder's ‘Nocturnal’ album (10/10 btw.), but Nightbringers (the song) was always one of my favourite TBDM songs. But in a move very familiar to me, called “Liking a song/band very much but never listening to more of the album/discography”, I never listened to the rest of the Nightbringers album. I thought I did once but didn't like it very much, but my last.fm stats disagree.
