Track of the Day
A track (at least) a day (not every day) that I particularily enjoyed listening to that day.
07.03.2026 – PJ Harvey
PJ Harvey – The Desperate Kingdom of Love
06.03.2026 – Mitski
Mitski – Dead Women
New Mitski album. Very nice. Big fan of the steel guitars.
05.03.2026 – Disillusion
Disillusion – Back to Times of Splendor
I can't believe I haven't featured Disillusion on here yet. I've been to their Back To Times Of Splendor 20th anniversary tour in 2024 and that was one of the best small concerts I've ever been to.
This year I'm gonna see them live again, in the same venue. Safe to say I'm already excited. I haven't listened to their later albums very much and I don't think I'm a huge fan, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it either way.

Funeral – From These Wounds
Yesterday I took the time to listen to the full From These Wounds album for the first time. I really, really liked it. Some people in the last.fm comment section called it one of the best doom metal albums of all time and I can see where they're coming from.
From These Wounds was the first track I've ever heard from Funeral, putting it in one of my playlists in late 2024, and it took me until now to listen to the rest of the album.

Katatonia – Rainroom
Brave Murder Day is one of my favourite albums of all time. Katatonia really made some of, if not the, best deathdoom out there before changing their sound.
It would be nice to see Anders Nyström, who was one of the two founding members of Katatonia, pick up their early sound again in a project, now that he's left Katatonia in March of last year.
02.03.2026 – Harley Poe
Harley Poe – Meaningless
Finally took the time to broaden my horizon of Harley Poe songs today.
01.03.2026 – Lemon Jelly
Lemon Jelly – Nice Weather For Ducks
Watch the music video on archive.org
I searched for "the Karl Marx feeding ducks" song for years. I only found it now because I requested all my data from twitter in a zip file.
There was a picture of my old music playlist in it, where I recognized the name.
The music video isn't on Youtube due to weird rights issues, but you can watch it on archive.org. https://archive.org/details/lemon-jelly-nice-weather-for-ducks

Sibylle Baier – The End
Additional listening: Sibylle Baier – "I Lost Something In The Hills" & "Remember the Day". Her entire, and only, album "Colour Green"
The songs on Baier's only album were recorded between 1970 and 1973. However, Baier didn't pursue a career in the music industry. She appeared in the movie Alice in den Städten by Wim Wenders in 1973 and wrote music for the movie Umarmungen - und 1 Million zuviel in 1975 before moving to the United States of America and focusing on her children.
Her son gifted recordings of her music to friends of the family, which is how they eventually ended up at the Indie-Laben Orange Twin Records and finally got released publicly in 2006.
In 2008, she released another new song for another Wim Wenders movie, Palermo Shooting, called "Let Us Know".
27.02.2026 – The Sound
The Sound – New Dark Age
Not a single skip on this whole album.
26.02.2026 – Entombed
Entombed – Eyemaster
This whole album is just so good. I still like Left Hand Path (their first, non death n roll, album) more.
