12.02.2026 – Lily Chou-Chou

Lily Chou-Chou – グライド (Glide)

I still haven't watched All About Lily Chou-Chou, the 2001 film that this album was produced for. This song would be a much better for Track of the Day for the day that I finally watch it. Why did I pick it today, then?
Because I finished reading volume 4 of Girl's Last Tour today.

That got me thinking: What songs do I know that makes me think of endings? グライド was one of the songs that came to my mind.
The others were:

• Sufjan Stevens – Chicago

I finished reading at around 3AM. Now that I write these thoughts out, I'm thinking of at least a few Woods of Ypres songs that make me thing of endings as well. But those are a different kind of ending, not the one like the melody Chito and Yuuri heard, I think.
