Leonard Cohen – A Singer Must Die

I can't believe I haven't put Leonard Cohen in one of these yet.
"Discovering" (of course I had heard of him but I never really listened to his music) and falling in love with Cohen in 2025 was one of the best things that have happened to me. His music speaks to me on such a intimate level. And I don't even care how pretentious that sounds.

I actually have the band Ghost to thank partly for this. My first Leonard Cohen song I heard a lot was Avalanche. Ghost had covered the song on their 'Popestar' EP in 2016. But don't try to talk to me about Ghost in this day and age. Anything up to Prequelle is still a banger though.
And in 2019 I listened to a lot of "I'm Your Man" because of this playlist. I used to enjoy (or maybe I just had too much time) to watch people play DnD. I don't anymore, but that playlist put me on some very good artists. Ones like Cohen, yes, but I also discovered Kimya Dawson here and "Sophie Hunger - Walzer Für Niemand".
Anyway, it wasn't until 2023 that I started "properly" listening to Cohen and not until this year that I fell in love.

This one's not even my favourite album of Leonard Cohen. What I mean to say is there is still many Leonard Cohen TOTDs to come.
