I'm so mad that I didn't realize sooner how well Chelsea Wolfe fits into this series!
Especially her first album is peak winter music.

Wolfe also has great side projects. I listened to her collaboration album with hardcore/metal band Converge, 'Bloodmoon: I', a lot a few years back.
Recently I have discovered her work in Mrs.Piss together with Jess Gowrie, her feature in the song 'Memorial' by Russian Circles and her work with Saudade, the song 'Shadows & Light', in which Deftone's Chino Moreno also features.
(Saudade also has a killer cover of Joy Division's 'Day of the Lords' with Randall Blythe of Lamb of God on the mic, but that's besides the point)

I'm stoked to talk more about Chelsea Wolfe in future TOTD entries, she has some bangers that don't fit that well into my definition of "winter music" that I would love to talk about.
